Kuda Hitam Express fast boat are the longest established operator from Amed in Bali. They have been servicing the route from north Bali to the Gili Islands and Lombok reliably for nearly a decade.
Note: Amed is approx a 3-4 hour drive from the main tourist area of Kuta and Seminyak making this a far more suitable departure point for anyone planning on staying in the Tulamben or Amed region.
They provide free pick-up and return to your hotel or villa from Tulamben, Tirtagangga and Amed. If you are staying in North Bali then Amed is the best departure point for heading to the Gilis.

Please note due to operational reasons, sometimes the Pacha fast boat is used as a replacement vessel for Kuda Hitam. This is to ensure proper maintanance standards are met. Therefore, you may travel on either of these boats. You should be informed of this prior to departure by Kuda Hitam management.
Cancellation & Amendment Policy
Kuda Hitam Express operate the following cancellations and refund policy: The full ticket price will be charged for any cancellation less than 48 hours prior to boat departure. Within a week, but outside 48hrs, 50% will be charged. For cancellations up to a week prior to departure, a full refund is allowed.
In cases of unexpected illness etc., exceptions can be considered if doctor's notes/other proof can be provided. Contact Kuda Hitam with the details found on your e-tickets. If you wish to change your travel dates, you can do so for free (subject to availability), up to 48hrs prior to departure. If you need to change your boat route or company entirely, please contact us direct for assistance, bearing in mind the above mentioned refund policy.
