The Golden Queen is a 23-metre aluminium fast boat operated by Golden Queen Fast Ferry, running daily services from Padang Bai to the Gili Islands and from Sanur to Nusa Penida.
 
With a capacity of 116 passengers, an air-conditioned cabin, a sun deck and onboard restrooms, it offers a well-equipped crossing at a budget price. Six Suzuki 300 HP engines push the boat to a cruising speed of 25 knots, and two life rafts with a combined capacity of 130 ensure there is more than enough emergency provision for everyone on board.

The Golden Queen departs from Padang Bai on Bali's east coast, stopping at Gili Trawangan and Gili Air before continuing to Bangsal harbour on Lombok. The return leg follows the same route back to Padang Bai. Check the search results for current departure times.

Onboard Facilities & Seating

The Golden Queen accommodates up to 116 passengers across two seating areas. Seating is not assigned, so arriving at the port early is worthwhile during busy periods.
 
  • AC cabin: Air-conditioned indoor seating. Good for passengers who prefer to stay out of the sun and sea spray, or want a cooler environment during the crossing.
  • Sun deck: Open-air seating on the upper deck with views across the water. A popular choice on clear days, particularly on the Padang Bai to Gili Islands route.
  • Restroom: An onboard toilet is available for passengers during the crossing.

Luggage

Each passenger is allowed 2 pieces of luggage with a combined weight of up to 30 kg. Keep valuables and travel documents in a bag you carry on board.
 

Amendment Policy

Date and time changes are free of charge up to 48 hours before departure, subject to availability.
 

Cancellation Policy

  • More than 15 days before departure: Full refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee.
  • 8 to 14 days before departure: 50% refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee.
  • 4 to 7 days before departure: 25% refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee.
  • Within 3 days of departure or no-show: No refund.
