Gangga Express Fleet

Gangga Express Fleet

Gangga Express operates a fleet of six fast boats on the daily crossing between Kusamba and Nusa Penida, all powered by Suzuki engines. The vessels range in size from compact 17-metre boats carrying 90 passengers up to 21-metre boats with a capacity of 160.
All boats depart from Tri Bhuwana Port in Kusamba and arrive at Sampalan on Nusa Penida.

The boats have no air conditioning, which is standard for this route. Whichever vessel you are assigned to, the experience and conditions are much the same: a straightforward budget crossing with consistent service and a good punctuality record.

Gangga Express Fleet: Route

All six vessels operate the same route between Tri Bhuwana Port in Kusamba and Sampalan on Nusa Penida, with multiple daily crossings in both directions. The specific boat assigned to your crossing depends on capacity and scheduling on the day. Check the search results for current departure times.

Kusamba (Tri Bhuwana Port) → Nusa Penida (Sampalan) → Kusamba (Tri Bhuwana Port)

Onboard Facilities & Seating

All Gangga Express vessels have enclosed cabin seating without air conditioning. This is common among budget fast boat operators on this route. The Kusamba to Nusa Penida crossing is short enough that the absence of air conditioning is not a significant issue for most passengers.

  • Enclosed cabin: All passengers are seated inside a cabin for the duration of the crossing. The cabin provides shelter from sun and sea spray, though it can get warm given the lack of air conditioning, particularly in the middle of the day.

  • Luggage: Up to 2 checked bags of usual proportions plus one hand-carry bag are permitted per passenger. Excess or oversized luggage may be subject to additional charges.
