Gili Meno to Bali Fast Boat Operators

Fewer operators make a direct stop at Gili Meno than at Gili Trawangan or Gili Air, but the ones below run consistently and cover the main arrival ports in Bali. All are licensed, vetted and carry full safety equipment. Infants under 2 travel free on all operators, and several offer reduced fares for children.

  • Eka Jaya Fast Ferry: is the most reliable choice for the fast boat from Gili Meno to Bali, with services running to both Padang Bai and Nusa Dua. They have  been operating these crossings since 1999. Their vessels are larger than the standard fast boat on this route, which makes for a more stable crossing in choppy conditions.

  • Wijaya Perkasa: is one of the few operators with a direct stop at Gili Meno on routes to both Padang Bai and Sanur. That flexibility is useful if you are heading to South Bali and want to skip the long taxi ride from Padang Bai. Schedules can occasionally shift, so build some extra time into your plans rather than booking the last available option before a flight or connection.

  • SemayaOne: covers both Padang Bai and Sanur. The fleet includes older boats alongside newer ones, so the experience can vary. Not the safest bet if you are working to a tight connection.

Gili Meno to Bali Arrival Ports

Padang Bai may have the cheapest ticket, but if you are heading to Kuta or the airport, the extra taxi fare can easily cancel out the saving. Choose based on your onward destination.

  • Gili Meno to Padang Bai: Cheapest and Quickest to East Bali.
Padang Bai is the closest arrival port to Gili Meno and the cheapest option, with tickets from €24 and a crossing time of around 2h. It is the right choice if you are heading to Ubud (roughly 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes by car), Candidasa, Amed or anywhere in east or central Bali.

  • Gili Meno to Sanur: Practical for South Bali
Sanur is the better arrival port for travellers heading to Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu or Denpasar. The crossing from Gili Meno takes around 3 hours and tickets start from €20.50. From Sanur, most south Bali destinations are 20 to 35 minutes by car and the airport is roughly 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. A longer crossing than Padang Bai, but a far shorter transfer at the other end if south Bali is where you are going.

  • Gili Meno to  Nusa Dua: Best for Bali Airport Connections
Nusa Dua is the smartest arrival port if you have a flight out of Denpasar. Eka Jaya arrives at Nusa Dua (Tanjung Benoa) around midday, and the airport is a short drive away via the toll road, making it the most practical routing from Gili Meno for anyone with an afternoon flight. Tickets start from €42.

Gili Meno to Bali Travel Tips

  • Fewer operators stop at Gili Meno directly: Gili Meno has fewer direct fast boat departures than Gili Trawangan or Gili Air. If you need a specific departure time that is not available from Gili Meno, taking a short local boat to Gili Air or Gili Trawangan gives you access to a wider range of operators and schedules.

  • Your arrival port determines your taxi cost: Padang Bai is the cheapest ticket but the most expensive onward transfer if you are heading to south Bali or the airport. Run the full journey cost before you book. Arriving at Sanur or Nusa Dua often works out cheaper overall for travellers heading to Kuta, Seminyak or the airport.

  • Book in advance during peak season: Fast boat seats from Gili Meno fill quickly in July, August and over the Christmas and New Year period. With fewer departures than the other islands, leaving it to the day before during high season is a genuine risk.

  • Port taxes are paid at the harbour: Most operators on the Gili Meno to Bali route do not include port taxes in the ticket price (except Eka Jaya). Check the Gili Meno and Bali port taxes

  • Morning crossings are generally calmer: Seas around the Gili Islands tend to be rougher in the afternoon, particularly during the wet season. An early morning departure is more comfortable and gives you more time on arrival in Bali.
