Sanur to Gili Meno Operators

Both operators are licensed.
Port taxes are not included in either ticket price and are paid separately at the harbour on the day.

  • Semaya One: The cheaper option on this route, with one afternoon departure. Hotel transfers from Sanur are available. Note that Semaya One does not dock directly at Gili Meno: passengers disembark at Gili Air and take a short shuttle boat transfer across to Gili Meno. This adds a small amount of time and an extra step to the journey. Fleet is mixed, and timing can vary.

  • Wijaya Perkasa: Two daily departures, with the afternoon service being the faster of the two crossings. Air-conditioned boats. No hotel transfers from Sanur. Occasional delays and schedule changes are worth factoring in if you have an onward connection.

Sanur to Gili Meno Travel Tips

  • Check in at least 1 hour before departure: Semaya One and Wijaya Perkasa require check-in at least 1 hour before departure.

  • If booking Semaya One, expect a shuttle transfer at Gili Air: Semaya One does not sail directly to Gili Meno. You will disembark at Gili Air and board a small shuttle boat for the final short crossing to Gili Meno. This is a standard part of the service but worth knowing before you travel.

  • Port taxes are not included: Both operators charge port taxes separately at the harbour on departure, payable in cash.
Check the Sanur and Gili Meno port taxes.

  • Gili Meno has no motorised vehicles: Transport on the island is by foot, bicycle or cidomo cart. If you are arriving with heavy luggage, a cidomo from the harbour is the easiest option.

  • Bring cash from Bali: ATMs on Gili Meno are very limited and can be unreliable. Withdraw what you need before you leave. Most accommodation, restaurants and activity providers on the island are cash-only or prefer it.

  • Book ahead in peak season: July, August and the Christmas and New Year period are busy. With limited daily sailings on this route, seats fill up quickly.

  • Consider Padang Bai for a shorter crossing: If you are staying in Ubud or east Bali, Padang Bai gives you access to more operators and a faster crossing to the Gili Islands.
