Karya Bahari Fast Boat


The Karya Bahari 01, 02, 03 and 04 are four identical fast boats operated by Karya Bahari on the daily shuttle between Bangsal harbour in north Lombok and all three Gili Islands.
 
Each vessel carries 75 passengers and is powered by four Yamaha 250 HP engines, giving a combined output of 1,000 HP and a cruising speed of 28 knots.
 
The boats are open-air with no air-conditioning, which is standard for this short local crossing. A toilet is available onboard. Safety equipment meets the requirements of the Passenger Safety Certificate and includes adult and child life jackets, capsule life crafts, GPS, VHF radio and fire extinguishers.

Karya Bahari 01, 02, 03 and 04: Routes

All four vessels operate the same circular shuttle route between Bangsal and the Gili Islands. Each trip runs the full loop in both directions, stopping at Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan. You can board or disembark at any stop, making the boats equally useful for Bangsal to Gili, Gili to Bangsal, or inter-Gili island hopping.
 
Outbound: Bangsal → Gili Air → Gili Meno → Gili Trawangan
 
Return: Gili Trawangan → Gili Meno → Gili Air → Bangsal
 
Eight departures run daily from Bangsal, starting at 09:00 and running hourly until 16:00. 
 

Onboard Facilities & Seating

The Karya Bahari boats are open-air vessels designed for the short local crossing between Bangsal and the Gili Islands.

There is no air-conditioning, which is typical for this route.

The crossing to Gili Trawangan takes around 30 minutes, so comfort is not usually a concern.
 

  • Seating: Removable cushioned seating for 75 passengers. Seating is not assigned, so arriving early at the harbour counter gives you a better choice of spot.
     
  • Toilet: An onboard toilet is available throughout the crossing.
     
  • Luggage space: Ample space for luggage is provided onboard. The allowance is 15 kg per person. Large or oversized bags may not be accommodated on this smaller vessel.

Each passenger is allowed 15 kg of luggage. These are smaller vessels and there is no hold. Large or oversized bags, dive equipment or surfboards may not be accommodated. Contact Gilibookings in advance if you are travelling with bulky items.
